Limitron designs the KTK-5 as a 5 amp dual-element fuse to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent conditions. The time-delay element allows normal current surges to pass through the circuit without tripping, while the current-limiting element quickly opens the circuit in the event of a severe overcurrent condition. The KTK-5 fuse is a fast-acting fuse.
